Taiwan's #1 STEAM curriculums

Everything kids will make & learn at summer camp 2022

Course curriculum: Hands-on STEAM

This curriculum introduces kids to making things with their hands and tinkering with materials to build amazing creations. Together with skilled instructors, your child will learn how to use electrical components, craft materials, and their creativity to complete fun science and engineering projects and challenges. With a range of mechanisms and electrical components that move, light up, and make noise, kids gain STEAM skills by learning how past technologies are built. Kids also learn to combine these concepts with DIY tools and materials to invent new things of their own!

Some of the things we will make:
- A color-changing LED night light
- A race car with motors and gears
- A buzz wire game
- A glowing fish that lights up with electricity
- A 3D turning sculpture with cams
- An exploding egg rocket

Some of the things we will learn:
- How to use tools and craft materials safely
- How to think like an inventor
- Engineering and physics concepts

Course curriculum: Coding & Robotics

If your child is interested in learning how to code, or if you would like for them to learn coding in a creative and interesting way, then this coding camp is a fantastic choice. Together with skilled coding instructors your child will get some logic training, learn about loops, and conditionals while making games and solving puzzles that were built with code. We won’t just solve the puzzles; we will think about the code that was used to make them! This is a great starting point for children with limited digital literacy skills but would like to improve them so they can use a computer like a pro!

Some of the things we will make:
- Interactive games that keep the score
- Mazes that are tricky to navigate
- Powered machines
- A robot dog
- A robotic hand

Some of the things we will learn:
- How to decompose and recognize patterns
- How to use loops and nested loops to solve puzzles
- How to create sequences and algorithms
- How to code for events based on different inputs that appear in a puzzle
- Engineering concepts behind motors
- Technical engineering concepts

What are the payment terms?

1 > Reserve by paying a 50% deposit using our online checkout system.
2 > Pay the remaining balance 30-45 days before the camps begins.

What happens if the Covid-19 situation worsens and the classes cannot run in-person due to lockdown?

In the event of lockdown, Skyrock will provide the class online and the deposit can be used against the cost of the online program. For those customers who do not wish to attend the online camp, their deposit can be kept in Skyrock credit for use against a future Skyrock class or camp.

Does my child need any coding experience to attend?

No, all Skyrock students begin their STEAM learning journey by studying the fundamentals first. We provide the devices on site.

Is Skyrock a school or a program?

Skyrock is a STEAM learning program, we are not a school. We design our own curriculum materials. We train our own teachers as well as other teachers at our partner site to teach our program. Additionally, we help schools set up and maintain maker classrooms for teaching our program.
