Taiwan's #1 STEAM curriculums

Everything kids will make & learn at summer camp 2022

Course curriculum: Mars Survival Guide

In order to survive and thrive on a different planet, Skyrock campers will have to create the MARS SURVIVAL GUIDE. A series of unique challenges and experiences that will recreate those of the NASA mission currently underway. In the spirit of the current NASA Mars Mission, GIGA students will be adding Perseverance to the 4 Skyrock Ps: Passion, Projects, Peers and Play! Campers will design and build machines that explore and collect samples on their new home planet!

Some of the things we will make:
- Produce water from rocket fuel
- A spectrometer to identify different chemical compounds
- A Mars Rover where using Python to program functions
- Filtration techniques t0 recycle toilet waste into drinking water
- Electromagnetic radiation to broadcast to possible Aliens

Some of the things we will learn:
- States of matter and their properties
- How we clean water with different filtration technologies
- How to use cogs and gears to make circular motion
- How to identify different chemical compounds using diffraction of light.
- How to use conditional logic with Python
- How to use electromagnetic signals to communicate over distances

Course curriculum: Ocean Task Force

At Skyrock we believe that if one thing is certain, it's that the future of our planet is going to need some out of the box thinkers to solve some extremely complex environmental issues. To make sure our oceans are cleaner, safer and used in a sustainable way, we need the skills of Skylock's OCEAN TASK FORCE to help protect our aquatic wonderland. At Skyrock, the future is now! Using STEAM skills to think sustainably, Giga Campers in OCEAN TASK FORCE will tackle the tough challenges of environmental disasters by experimenting with future technologies to solve problems. At Skyrock even the most serious issues will be solved using our 4 Ps: Passion, Projects, Peers and Play.

Some of the things we will do:
- Dissect a marine vertebrate
- Transfer bioluminescent jellyfish genes to bacteria
- Dissect vertebrates to understand biological systems
- Create a boat powered by a mousetrap
- Build a solar still using recycled materials
- Build a automated crop lifecycle with sensors

Some of the things we will learn:
- How to safely use knives, tweezers, and other surgical tools
- How to use potential energy to power a boat
- How to use advanced movie special effects
- How to capture energy from the Sun
- How to genetically engineer bacteria
- How math can model dynamic systems

No, all Skyrock students begin their STEAM learning journey by studying the fundamentals first. We provide the devices on site.

Is Skyrock a school or a program?

Skyrock is a STEAM learning program, we are not a school. We design our own curriculum materials. We train our own teachers as well as other teachers at our partner site to teach our program. Additionally, we help schools set up and maintain maker classrooms for teaching our program.
